Another Way of Winning Blackjack
There are a lot of tactics and strategies at winning blackjack. Here's another one:
When the cards in hand add up to 8 or less, a hit is always a wise blackjack option. There's no chance of busting. The highest hit one can have is a card of 10. And 10 and 8 has a good sum quite near 21. A third hit is debatable. If the first cards total 5 or 6, two hits are possible, but a single hit is safe, though not competitive. If the hit turns out a 10 (the highest possible) a total 16 is 5 points away from 21.
Hard hands are worth a stubborn stand in blackjack if they're 17 or more. Just make sure that if an ace (or aces) is present it should be valued 1. Giving an ace the value ten is a sure bust when there's a hard hand. A good handling of a hard hand (like an ace, 7, and king) is to an ace a 1 and stand on it no matter what the face up card of the dealer is. If there is no ace (like 5, 2, jack) a hard hand can still easily compete with any hand the dealer has.
When the dealer's hand shows a 7 or higher or an ace, hit if one's cards total a 16. Such dealer's card will probably win. A blackjack hit while holding a 16 may come close to 21, if not 21. It may also bust, but the risk is all worth it. It the dealer's face up cards are from 2 to 6 and the cards in hand are hard hands of 12 or more, make a stand for it. The dealer is prone to bust---just make sure one's not bound to bust first.
Maintain 19 or 20 soft hands and don't drop these good cards in hopes of better ones. Most likely, there won't be any "better cards" than these. Stand on soft hands; they're one of the best shots. More so if there is a flexible ace that convertible to a 1 or 11. In the case of two card pairs, one may split them as separate hands and bet on the pairs separately. That's more chances of blackjack winning.
To win at blackjack there must be more than just a couple of strategies for winning. Look for more options on making hits or stands. The more the merrier.
